As Wilfrid Laurier University continues to make a home for itself among the leading comprehensive universities in Canada, highlighting its increasing number of professional and research-focused graduate programs becomes more of a challenge in today’s crowded market.
To cut through all the noise, the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics has created a new marketing campaign that reaches beyond standard advertising in order to tell a story about the kind of institution it is and the kind of people who succeed here.
Prospective students who are interested in pursuing a degree at the master’s or doctoral level have no shortage of choice at the Lazaridis School. With multiple study streams and delivery options available, the suite of graduate programs have banded together under a common marketing campaign to raise both their own profiles and that of the Lazaridis School at large.
“Our new campaign is focused on the statement – what’s inside sets us apart,” says MBA Associate Director, Brad Davis. “This speaks to both what sets our programs apart from other schools but also what sets our students apart from other graduates.”

Over the coming weeks, be on the lookout for a new marketing campaign built on the individual stories of current and former students.
“We wanted to position ourselves in the market with ads that will help us stand out,” says Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Eric Leclerc. “While other business schools are saturating the marketing with more traditional, Bay Street-focused ads that don’t tell you much about the people who go there, our campaign features messaging that is professional, personal and aspirational.”
In addition to the new ads, the Lazaridis School is also upgrading its web properties to make the process of booking a one-on-one assessment, campus tour or sending in an application more seamless.
The new campaign is designed to highlight how each program has the ability to take students into the next phase of their careers by offering the best curriculum in formats that fit into their lives.
