Sylvanus Kwashie Kuwor is a master drummer, music, dance and dance practitioner/scholar. He has had a decade of experience in Britain as a cultural educator and another decade at University of Ghana, Legon. He received a PhD in Music and Dance Anthropology from the University of Roehampton in London.
Teaching at Laurier positions me at the right place to share my knowledge and to learn from both students and faculty. It is a journey that creates a platform for multiple voices where everyone is appreciated by all.
My research interest focuses on Drum Music in the African Diaspora with its Dance in a multidisciplinary fashion to exhibit the holistic nature of the art form and its power in social integration.
