Dr. Emad A. Mohammed holds a B.Sc. in System and Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University (1999), an M.Sc. (2012), and a PhD in Software Engineering (2016) from the University of Calgary. He chairs TRU’s Engineering Department and is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Calgary. He is a member of Professional Engineer and Geoscientist BC. He specializes in diverse research areas, including information representation, biomedical image analysis, data mining, and machine learning. He’s garnered numerous grants and awards, including NSERC DG, and actively contributes to research evaluation as a member of the CIHR College of Reviewers and Tri-Agency review panels.
My research interests span diverse research areas, including information representation, biomedical image analysis, data mining, and machine learning.
I have research assistantships opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and their applications including computer vision, natural language processing for healthcare and industrial application.
