I have a PhD in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow State University, Samarkand State University, and the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Academy of Sciences, Uzbekistan in 1999. I also earned an MSc in Physics and Physics Education from SamSU and Clarkson University in New York, USA in 2002.
Teaching problem-solving skills is my passion, and I particularly enjoy using graphical and intuitive methods to help students develop this essential skill. I firmly believe that mastering problem-solving can enhance critical thinking, learning, confidence, and career readiness.
I am proud to have been recognized for my hard work and dedication, receiving the Wilfrid Laurier University Merit Certificate Award in 2014, as well as the Employee Success Certificate Award in 2018. As the supervisor of the Laurier chess club, our team competes at national level, and we have successfully brought a Canadian University championship at Laurier. I have competed in many national and international tournaments, and I have even been in first three! My Elo coefficient is 2200.
Modelling and designing fiber optic networks, and laser spectroscopy. Educational technologies, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript simulations for optics, computational and design thinking in digital economy. Graphical mobile technology in teaching problem solving and critical thinking.
My interests lie in the fields of fiber optic networks, DSSC and laser spectroscopy. I am also interested is in exploring the intersection of education and technology. I'm currently working on projects involving HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript simulations for optics, as well as leveraging computational and design thinking in the digital economy.
In addition, I'm a firm believer in the power of graphical mobile technology to improve teaching and learning outcomes. As such, I'm currently exploring ways to integrate mobile technology into the classroom to enhance problem-solving and critical thinking skills in students.
Overall, my research interests are diverse, and I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to make an impact in both the technology and education fields.
