I received my PhD in Computer Science from the Database Lab of Tsinghua University in 2021. Before joining Laurier, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Information Technology at York University. I am also a course director at York University.
The main focus of my research is how to govern data to support the establishment of a data ecosystem, for example, data acquisition and data preparation to support machine learning tasks. I also study the components and key techniques for the next generation of data marketplaces, such as data pricing and data owners' contribution estimation in a data federation.
I am offering research assistantship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. I am also searching for my own master's and PhD students who are interested in participating in my research projects. I collaborate with researchers from York University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Duke University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
