I received my PhD in physical geography from McMaster University in 1992 and my MSc from McMaster University in 1986.
My research focuses on processes of sediment transport in beach-dune systems and management of Great Lakes beaches and dunes, especially in protected areas. I have four main research sites with ongoing investigation: Point Pelee National Park, Pinery Provincial Park, Sandbanks Provincial Park and Sauble Beach. I am interested in working with local groups to develop sustainable management plans for the stewardship of beaches and dunes.
