Bruce McConomy is a co-author of the best selling “Kieso” Intermediate Accounting textbook. He has published research articles in Contemporary Accounting Research; the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance; the Journal of Business, Finance and Accounting; Critical Perspectives on Accounting; Accounting History; and the Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal. He also has published cases in Accounting Perspectives, Issues in Accounting Education and the Journal of Accounting Case Research.
Financial accounting, earnings forecasts, environmental accounting, corporate governance, initial public offerings, voluntary disclosure and accounting history.
Professor McConomy has co-supervised several accounting PhD in Management (Accounting) students who recently completed their doctoral studies at Laurier: Dr. Yan Jin (2016) and Dr. Justin Mindzak (2017). He also acted as the external examiner on the dissertation committee of Dr. Mohammad Hendijani Zadeh (Concordia 2020), Dr. Rozhin Yousefvand-Mansouri (McGill 2018) and Dr. Shahid Khan (Calgary, 2016).
