Christos Shiamptanis is an Associate Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. He completed his PhD in Economics in 2008 and his BS in Actuarial Science and Economics in 2003 from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
His research focuses on fiscal sustainability issues and solvency crises. He is interested in the interaction between monetary and fiscal policy, the effects of fiscal policy on inflation and interest rates, the implications of fiscal policy on sovereign default and how risky fiscal policy is in developed countries.
I am willing to supervise graduate students in the areas of fiscal policy and macroeconomics.
