I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, with distinction, in 2003. I’m a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and have received my Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2006, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation in 2013, and Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) in 2013.
I articled with Deloitte from 2003-2009 and joined Laurier’s Financial Resources in 2009 as the Manager of Internal Audit. In 2014, I took on a role of Manager, Financial Accounting and held it till 2016.
I have taught part-time since 2010 within Laurier's Lazaridis School of Business and Economics and as a full-time lecturer since 2016, both at the Undergrad and Graduate levels. My focus is in area of auditing and accounting. I have been a session leader with CPA Ontario within their Professional Education Program since 2018 and facilitator since 2017.
I truly enjoy teaching and connecting with students, helping them succeed not only in the classroom, but as they begin their careers as a CPA.
