If you were not eligible for your preferred program, you may have received an alternate offer of admission to Honours Arts. This page contains important information about your options and next steps, including a frequently asked questions section below.
Honours Arts is a direct-entry program to the Faculty of Arts at Laurier's Waterloo campus. "Direct entry" means you begin studying in this program when you first start your classes at Laurier. At the end of your first year, you can choose to major in a different program in the Faculty of Arts.
Because you are eligible for the Honours Arts program at our Waterloo campus, you are also eligible for a number of Bachelor of Arts programs at our Brantford campus.
In Honours Arts, you'll have a variety of academic options to explore and you can find an area that you are passionate about before choosing a program to major in. If you've already chosen a program, Honours Arts can help you explore new fields of study that complement your program and career goals. You can then continue to study these complementary fields in the form of minors, options, or even a double major.
You can apply to add the Management Option to your program and/or apply for co-op after you begin your studies at Laurier. In the Management Option, you'll take Laurier business and economics courses to study core principles of the business world, including accounting, marketing, human resources, operations, policy and finance. With co-op, you’ll gain valuable paid work experience before you graduate, giving you a head start on building your career.
Meet the Arts alumnus described in the video above:
There are more than 20 programs in the Faculty of Arts! One of the best ways to select courses and discover a major is to find topics that interest you and then choose courses from programs that relate to those topics. You can take courses in a number of these areas in your first year before deciding on your major.
You are eligible to change your offer of admission to another program at the Brantford campus.
If you would like to change your offer to one of these programs, see how to do this in the FAQ section.
