We recognize your academic achievement and there's a place here for you at Laurier. That's why we've offered you admission to the Honours Youth and Children's Studies program.
Our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Youth and Children’s Studies explores the question "What does it mean to be a child in the contemporary world?" and uses it as the basis for exploration into the cultures of childhood and adolescence. If you are wondering how you can engage with children and youth to make a positive change, Youth and Children's Studies will give you information, research strategies and analytical skills to succeed.
You’ll graduate with a range of skills that will help you approach contemporary social, cultural, educational, legal and health issues that face children and those who work with them.

"Wait list" is short for "waiting list." Students who are placed on a wait list may receive an offer of admission to the Social Work (BSW) program if space becomes available.
Laurier uses wait lists to ensure specific enrolment numbers for competitive programs. Due to a high number of strong applicants, Laurier must monitor admission to these programs very carefully.
If space is available in the program after the June 1 confirmation deadline, Laurier will issue additional offers to the BSW program to select candidates from the wait list.
Wait lists are used to ensure programs are not over-enrolled and to ensure the most qualified applicants are accepted. You have been placed on the wait list because you applied after the application deadline and space in this program is very limited.

Laurier is not able to confirm an applicant’s place on the wait list because this information changes frequently.
Laurier also does not disclose wait list information because we cannot confirm how many candidates will be selected from the wait list.
If Laurier is able to issue offers of admission to wait-listed applicants, we will begin doing so immediately following the June 2 confirmation deadline. Therefore, we are not able to consider summer school courses.
We will notify all wait-listed applicants of their status after June 2, 2025. The last date you could hear from us is Aug. 1, 2025.
