The Laurier Hub for Community Solutions proudly presents Fusion Beats 2024 🌟, a vibrant talent show celebrating the best student performers from Laurier and Conestoga Brantford!
Taking place at the historic Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, this exciting event showcases diverse talents through music, dance, and performance art.
Fusion Beats 2024 is a collaborative initiative between Laurier Brantford, Conestoga Students Inc., and the City of Brantford, with generous sponsorship from Laurier’s International Student Support, the City of Brantford, and the Laurier Hub for Community Solutions.
This is the second year of Fusion Beats, following a highly successful launch last year that brought together our campus community and the public. 🌟
This year's headliner is Layla Staats , a musician, filmmaker, and activist based in Six Nations. The lineup will also feature dynamic student and community performers, musicians, and dancers.
🎸 The Bald Parts of Their Hearts: Laurier Social Work students Ashley Robertson and Brent Watts bring their love for music to the stage with covers of Wicked Game and Be My Mistake.
🎸 Akhil Prabhu: First-year Criminology student and a talented guitarist playing a range of genres, from flamenco to classical styles, performing Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You.
🎤 Kaya Kanashiro: UX Design student with soulful vocals and acoustic guitar, ready to bring joy through her heartfelt performance.
🎤 Sreekar Kanchi: Master’s in Applied Computing student blending Hindi rap with an energetic stage presence, bringing his passion for music to Fusion Beats.
💃 KAOS Dance Team: Laurier Brantford’s heartbeat! Expect vibrant dance moves and golden hawk pride from this dedicated group.
🎤 Hadassah Olagoke-Daniel: Singing in Yoruba, Hadassah’s performance will be a beautiful representation of Nigerian culture.
🎤 Amanpreet Singh: Mixing Desi hip hop with freestyle, Amanpreet’s blend of vernacular verses and western beats will captivate the audience.
🎤 Karan Singh: Performing traditional Punjabi classical and folk songs, Karan brings a cultural touch to the lineup.
🎶 Paromita Kar & Eric Iarocci: Collaborating in dance and music for two years, this dynamic duo will bring their beautiful artistry to the stage.
