BRANTFORD – A colourful, vibrant celebration of self-expression, Winter’s a Drag returns for the third time to Wilfrid Laurier University’s Brantford campus. The free event, which takes place Jan. 31 at the Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts, features performances by professional drag artists, an artist meet-and-greet, photo booth and prize giveaways.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Winter’s a Drag back for the third year,” says Beth Sanders, Laurier’s Brantford campus experience lead. “It’s such a fun and inclusive event to break up the long winter season. We look forward to welcoming students and community members again this year.”
Doors to the Sanderson Centre (88 Dalhousie St., Brantford) will open at 7 p.m., and an artist meet-and-greet will start at 7:15 p.m. The performers will take the stage at 8 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome. Seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. No registration is required.
Winter’s a Drag is presented by the Brantford campus experience lead in the Office of the Senior Executive Officer at Laurier’s Brantford campus and made possible thanks to support from the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union, Wilfrid Laurier University Alumni Association, Student Alumni Association and Dean of Students’ Office.
The Brantford campus experience lead’s mandate is to create meaningful connections between the campus and community, and to enhance vibrancy in the campus district of downtown Brantford.
