Print | PDFCanadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic will go purple and gold from June 13 to 18, 2022 for National Blood Donor Week.
Wilfrid Laurier University will adopt the clinic location at 94 Bridgeport Road East to celebrate the essential role of blood donors in keeping Canada’s national inventory of blood products strong. Laurier is a proud member of Canadian Blood Services’ Partners for Life program and invites all eligible donors – new and returning – to give blood.
There is an imminent need for blood as the national inventory has declined by 25 per cent since April. Although one in two Canadians is eligible to donate blood, only one in 81 do. Help keep Laurier’s communities healthy and strong by joining Laurier’s Partners for Life team and giving blood.
All members of the Laurier community – including faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university – can join Laurier’s Partners for Life team of blood donors. Since 2010, Laurier’s Partners for Life team has contributed more than 5,000 units of blood to Canadian Blood Services.
Joining Laurier's Partners for Life team is easy:
Blood donors must meet the eligibility requirements outlined by Canadian Blood Services to ensure the health and safety of blood donors and recipients. Learn more about Canadian Blood Services’ donor eligibility requirements or call 1.888.236.6283 to speak with a nurse.
