Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University mourns the passing of Marshall Ward, an instructor at the university from 2002 to 2007. Marshall passed away on Dec. 3 at the age of 52.
A well-known Waterloo Region artist, podcaster, educator and columnist, Marshall taught in Laurier’s former Fine Arts program. In 2007, he was presented the Laurier Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence for his work at the university.
Remembered as outgoing, conversationally gifted, compassionate and endlessly curious, Marshall spent his life telling stories, whether through his visual art, his weekly column in the Waterloo Chronicle, podcasts he co-hosted, art classes he taught, or other creative endeavours.
Read Marshall's obituary on the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home website.
All are welcome to share memories of Marshall during a drop-in celebration of life taking place Tuesday, Dec. 19, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo.
Marshall was an animal lover and his family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo and Stratford Perth at erbgood.com.
