Marek will be remembered as a kind and caring individual who loved his family, friends and spending time outdoors. The university will lower its flags to half-mast in Marek's honour.
Marek leaves behind his wife Anitka, daughters Chloe and Claire, as well as family members and friends in Poland and Canada. Marek’s family will receive relatives and friends at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. in Kitchener, on Oct. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Oct. 16 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Henry Walser Funeral Home.
