Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University mourns the passing of Lorin Shalanko, a coach accompanist in the Faculty of Music. Lorin passed away Sept. 7, 2023 at the age of 59. He is survived by his wife, Julie.
Lorin was a collaborative pianist who provided instruction, accompaniment and coaching as part of Laurier’s Faculty of Music since 1999. He held an honours degree in piano performance from Laurier and studied at the University of Michigan.
A private cremation will take place. For more details, please see Lorin’s obituary. The university will lower its flags to half-mast in Lorin’s memory.
