Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University welcomed visitors to learn more about its Milton campus at the Laurier Milton Open House May 25 in Laurier’s Milton Academic Centre.
Enhanced with fresh purple and gold finishes and modern renovations, the Academic Centre was filled with the excitement of prospective students and their families, giving a preview of the energy that will fill the space when Laurier Milton students arrive in fall 2024.
Laurier Milton applicants, students considering applying and their families filled the centre, eager to speak with faculty and staff about Laurier’s Milton campus experience and programs, connect with current students and explore the space.
Attendees enjoyed academic information sessions about the Computer Science and Psychology programs being offered in fall 2024, which will be taught with an innovative, problem-based approach and provide students with extensive hands-on learning opportunities.
Prospective students and their families also had the chance to speak with members of Laurier’s senior administration and Students’ Union, learn more about programming offered by Laurier Off-Campus University Students (LOCUS), and find out more about co-op opportunities, support for international students, commuter schedules, and student rates from Milton Transit and Metrolinx.
In addition to Computer Science and Psychology, the university is actively planning future Milton campus programs, including software engineering, for 2025-26 and beyond (subject to approvals).
