June 2, 2025
Print | PDFJune 8 through 14 marks National Blood Donor Week in Canada, a time to recognize and celebrate the impact blood donors make to keep our communities healthy and strong.
Wilfrid Laurier University is grateful for the faculty, staff, student and alumni blood donors who generously support Canadian Blood Services as part of Laurier’s Partners for Life team. Since 2010, Laurier’s Partners for Life team has contributed more than 5,000 donations to Canada’s Lifeline.
To honour National Blood Donor Week and bring awareness to the ongoing need for blood donations, Laurier will host a blood drive throughout June. Laurier has pledged 475 blood donations in 2025. To date, the university has achieved 51% of its goal.

By joining Laurier’s Partners for Life team, you can give at any Canadian Blood Services location and have your donation count toward Laurier’s pledge goal.
To join Laurier’s team, download the GiveBlood app from Google Play or the App Store. This short video shows you how to join Laurier’s team within the app. Appointments can also be booked within the app.
