Laurier’s Faculty of Education is a vibrant community serving the needs of learners and leaders, along a lifelong continuum. We are deeply interested in cultivating the well-being and success of diverse students in our university and in schools/educational organizations, across the world. Our programs are carefully designed, including innovative and impactful experiences, to transform teaching and learning. We integrate technological advancements with critical perspectives related to Indigenous knowledge, equity, diversity, inclusion and a sense of belonging.
Across undergraduate, graduate and outreach programs, the Faculty of Education provides opportunities for learners to broaden knowledge, deepen perceptions, and enhance a wide range of competencies and skills for transforming education at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Our faculty members engage in relevant research to make positive impacts.
I am honoured to serve as Dean of our Faculty of Education. With shared leadership, we can develop differentiated approaches to address educational challenges and to foster thriving, sustainable learning communities.
Sincerely,
Dr. Maria Cantalini-Williams
