I hold a Bachelor of Music, performance Queen’s University, Associateship of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto, performance, a Licentiate of Trinity College London, England also in performance and Lehrdiplom fur Klavier, Basel Konservatorium, Switzerland.
I am a teacher, accompanist, workshop clinician and member of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association (ORMTA). My performing career has taken me to the United States, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. For many years, I was adjunct professor of piano at Laurier, and I've taught at the Beckett School at Laurier for 30 years.
My students have received Distinction on Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams, including the gold medal for the highest mark that year in that grade. My students have also achieved Kiwanis Festival scholarships and university music program entrance scholarships. I have also helped students complete award-winning performances for Chopin interpretation, and win the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra's concerto competition.
Introducing students to the enchantment of artistic endeavour brings me great joy. I appreciate the sentiment of Fyodor Dostoyevsky who says, "Beauty will save the world."
