I am a Kitchener-Waterloo based percussionist who was born and raised in Oshawa, Ontario. I am a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, with an Honours BMus in percussion performance. I have worked with many organizations in the Tri-City area including NUMUS, Open Ears the Stratford Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, Kitchener Waterloo, and currently hold the position principal percussion with the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra Symphony Orchestra.
In 2018, I won the Laurier Concerto Competition, and KWCO’s Concerto competition playing Emmanuel Sejourne’s Marimba Concerto.
As a drummer and percussionist you are given the chance to explore a wide array of sounds. Wooden sounds, metal sounds, air sounds… and the list goes on. I will meet your standards in wanting to learn certain material, but I would like to open your ears to the varieties that percussion has to offer.
