From a kitchen table to the world. How Diva Cup changed menstrual products — and became a pop culture darling

From a kitchen-table startup to a globally recognized brand, DivaCup is a story of family, purpose, and innovation — and it all started with Lazaridis alumna Carinne Chambers-Saini (BBA ’01) and her mom, Francine. Together, they launched Diva International with a mission to reimagine menstrual care through sustainable, stigma-breaking solutions. What began as a mother-daughter venture is now a movement, with the DivaCup sold in more than 40 countries and recognized worldwide as a category leader. At the Lazaridis School, we’re proud to count Carinne among our alumni — a bold entrepreneur who continues to support our programs and inspire the next generation of business leaders.
