Approximately 35% of Laurier graduates pursue further education after their degree at Laurier. Throughout the year, educational institutions participate in events to promote their degrees, diplomas and programs that are available to Laurier students after graduation. These events include the Further Education Fair (held each year in October), Teacher Education and Law School Information Panels (held every year in the Fall term) and display booths or information sessions throughout the year.
The Further Education Fair is an opportunity for educational institutions to provide information to prospective students about their school, admission requirements and programs of study. Held every year in October, the Fairs draws hundreds of students from a variety of academic backgrounds.
Registration for the fair opens each year in July. The registration fee includes the cost of advertising the event, booth space, refreshments, lunch and parking for one vehicle. For more information and to register, contact Sandy Martin.
If you are interested in participating in the Faculty of Education or Law School information sessions, contact Sandy Martin. There is limited space available, but we will do our best to accommodate any interested institutions.
Educational institutions/consultants are able to have a maximum of three display booths or information sessions per semester, subject to availability. To book a display booth or information session, contact Sandy Martin.
To advertise your presence on campus, you may send us eight posters for display in our centre and on campus bulletin boards. Your display booth or information session will also be advertised on the Career Development Centre website.
The Career Resource Centre offers students resources to learn about various universities and colleges in Canada. This includes directories to search for programs and specific information on professional education programs and materials about professional designations that are available to students while at Laurier and after they graduate.
If you have information that you would like to include in our resource centre, email careercentre@wlu.ca or mail to:
