Anne Innis Dagg Lecture Series
Honouring Waterloo zoologist Anne Innis Dagg, this lecture series invites notable Canadian women studying animal biology to share their work. Innis Dagg was the first person to study the behaviour of giraffes in the wild and co-authored what is widely considered the most influential book about the species. Having faced sexism in academia, she also widened her research to include inequality in science and the education system.
Economist- and CEO-in-Residence Speaker Series
The Lazaridis School Economist-in-Residence and CEO-in-Residence provide new ideas and perspectives in their fields during a public keynote address.
Financial Services Research Centre Seminar Series
The Financial Services Research Centre Seminar Series brings finance speakers from the most prestigious universities around the world to Laurier to share their latest research.
Hunsberger Memorial Lecture
Laurier’s Department of Psychology hosts an annual Hunsberger Memorial Lecture. Bruce Hunsberger was a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Laurier from 1974-2003, and served as its chair for many years. He was an influential scholar in the field of psychology and religion, and the ongoing lecture series has been created to remember his lifelong commitment to communicating psychological research to a wide audience.

In response to current events, the Inspiring Conversations webinar series showcases the timely, relevant research and expertise of Laurier faculty, staff and alumni.
Liberal Arts Community Speaker Series
The Community Speaker Series hosted by Laurier’s Faculty of Liberal Arts Dean’s Community and Alumni Advisory Council aims to connect Laurier with the wider community through lively panel discussions.
MS2Discovery Seminar Series
The MS2Discovery research institute connects researchers working in mathematical and statistical modelling in various disciplines – from natural sciences and technology, finance, business and economics, and social sciences. The MS2Discovery Seminar Series facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration in these areas and increases public awareness of the key role mathematical and statistical modelling plays in our society.
People Make History Lecture Series
The People Make History annual lecture series, supported by Mary J. Stedman, invites witnesses and participants of historic events or movements to tell their stories. By sharing their memories, they bring history alive and make critical links between past and contemporary times.
