The Laurier Stedman Prize competition would not be possible without the high school teachers who support the contest each year. Thank you to all of you who make it possible for students to have the opportunity to participate in this contest.

This page has been created for you to pull resources from to use in the promotion of the contest at your school. You can download informational materials and posters to use in the creation of bulletin boards, digital newsletters, school websites and/or to handout to students interested in the contest.

"As a lover of short stories, it was a great personal pleasure to work with the students who sought to enter the competition. The quality of the thinking, writing and storytelling was always enhanced when the students felt there was a chance of recognition. The Laurier-Stedman Prize was the best thing to happen for young writers in my entire career as a teacher of English."

Janet Franklin, former teacher at Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School
